July 2012 eHE (RSC Training) Offering Diploma in Vocational Education and Training

Dipoma level courses in Vocational Education and Training and Training Design and Assessment will be offered from July 2012. Initially offered face to face in Rockhampton, but later this year these courses will be available as on-line learning

June 2012 eHE offer world's first SNOMED CT Generalist course

Built by Sarah Ryan (USA) and Heather Grain (Australia) this course is designed to develop skills which form the basis for people working with SNOMED CT. This course gives students access to world leaders in SNOMED CT education and implementation.

May 2012 eHE working with HL7 International Education

Heather Grain attended the HL7 International meeting in Vancouver at which considertion of the method and priorities for development of Health Level 7 (healthcare messaging) skills internationally. Heather will be working with Ted Klein from the Vocabulary Work Group to define the competencies for Vocabulary management as a starting point for this review.

April 2012 eHE staff attend International Health Terminology Standards Development Organisation Education Meeting

At this meeting the IHTSDO Education SIG confirmed the competencies for SNOMED CT Generalist training and certification. EHE has the first course in the world built to help you build these competencies.

April 2012 eHE Develops Australia's first integrated Clinical Coding Course

Working with senior Health Information Management educators from NSW and Victoria and experienced clinical coders and auditors we now offer an integrated clinical coding skill development pathway that includes not only clinical coding, the vocabulary, anatomy and physiology for coding, but also sample health records, administrative, reporting, and casemix information which can be taken at various job levels and built up over time. The course includes active tutor and mentoring support. So if you work in a day stay centre you can obtain the skills you need in that role, and develop your career over time.
